Founder, Owner and Operator of Serenity Placenta Services
Kalanzia Gibson was born and raised in Canton, MS. She started her journey to become a trained and certified placenta specialist about four years ago after her and her husband experienced a still birth of their daughter and two miscarriage. With her 1st pregnancy, She stumbled across a video on placenta encapsulation while looking to educate herself on postpartum recovery and natural healing. Kalanzia’s search for information began. She read article after article, research paper after research paper until she found out about Placenta Encapsulation. She was AMAZED at the reporting benefits and decided she wanted to educate and aid women about postpartum recovery.
Postpartum recovery is not often mentioned as an area of needed preparation which causes so many mothers to be ill prepared. The benefits are numerous in that the placenta’s hormonal make-up is completely unique to the mother!
Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
Kalanzia is trained through the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA). After this initial training, she earned both of her certifications – Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA’s Safe Food Handling.
